Chronic Pain
Pain is a complicated issue that impacts people’s relationships, work, mood, spiritual health and life in general. Counselling offers a great deal to help people adjust to chronic pain in their lives. One aspect is to decrease stress which has the result of decreasing pain. In counselling people with chronic pain we work through the grief that often accompanies loss of health and to make changes to build a satisfying life to the best of a person’s ability. Support can occur for loved ones as they struggle to adjust to the changes that occur when a person’s health changes
